You can end your coverage at any time if you’re getting other health coverage from an employer, however, don’t end your Georgia Access plan until you know when your new coverage starts.
The Georgia Access system only allows mid-month terminations in the circumstance of death.
If your coverage has already started and you would like to terminate your coverage for a reason other than death, you can prospectively terminate your coverage:
- at the end of the month
- the end of the month following your termination request,
- or the end of the next month.
You will need to pay your premium through the end of the month you terminate coverage.
