Under the updated federal rules, only the following groups remain eligible for financial assistance such as APTC:
• Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs), even if they have not met the 5-year bar
• Cuban/Haitian entrants
• Compact of Free Association (COFA) migrants (Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau)
Note: Anyone not included in one of these groups may continue to enroll in Georgia Access coverage but must pay full cost without APTC or Cost‑Sharing Reductions (CSR).
If you qualify for one of the above status and your annual income is above 400% of the FPL: You may still qualify for the premium tax credit that lowers your monthly premium. If subsidies are not extended, you are still eligible to enroll in a full cost Qualified Health Plan.
You may qualify for premium tax credits and extra savings through Marketplace coverage if you meet the above status and your income is between 100% and 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
If lawfully present immigrants are ineligible for Medicaid and financial assistance on the exchange, they may be eligible to purchase off-exchange, non-ACA insurance plans or receive healthcare at local community health centers.
