Migrant workers who have an H-2A visa status are eligible to enroll in coverage through Georgia Access. To qualify for Georgia Access, your primary residence must be in Georgia. Health insurance coverage with Georgia Access can help pay for your health needs such as illnesses and injuries while you are away from home and working seasonally in Georgia.
As a migrant worker, if you move residences frequently for your job within Georgia, you can still be eligible to enroll in Georgia Access. You will need to update your Georgia Access account information each time you move home residences to ensure you’re receiving the correct eligibility for financial assistance. Your health insurance monthly premium rate may change based on your home address location.
To show your eligibility for Georgia Access, you will be asked to upload a picture or scanned copy in your Georgia Access application portal of one of your immigration documents showing your visa code. For example, you may upload a picture or copy of the US Visa immigration page in your passport with entrance code H-2A for migrant workers. A full list of acceptable immigration documents for Georgia Access eligibility can be found in the following article: What documents are needed to confirm my immigration status?
