I just received a notice from Georgia Access that says I am potentially eligible for Georgia Medicaid (Medical Assistance). Does that mean I have to go complete another application through Georgia Medicaid to get Medical Assistance?

That’s where Georgia Access makes it easy! Georgia Access applicants who receive a notice that they are potentially eligible for Medical Assistance (Medicaid/PeachCare for Kids®) do NOT need to submit another application. Their initial application submitted through Georgia Access will be transferred to the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) for a Medical Assistance eligibility determination. The DFCS Office will review their application and may request additional verification from the individual if necessary to make a final eligibility determination.
