All plans on Georgia Access cover women’s preventive services as required by the Affordable Care Act, which includes FDA-approved contraceptive methods and counseling. Preventive services are available without any out-of-pocket costs, even if you have not met your deductible, if the service meets the terms of your policy, such as when provided by an in-network provider. Also, not all drugs are covered, or covered with no out-of-pocket costs. Be sure to review your plan’s prescription drug formulary.
NOTE: Plans sold on Georgia Access are not required to cover services for male reproductive capacity, like vasectomies.
