In order to enroll in coverage through Georgia Access, you need to create an account.
How to create your account on Georgia Access:
- Go to the Georgia Access website. On the Georgia Access homepage click on the yellow "Get Covered" button.
- After clicking Get Covered you will land on the account creation/account login screen. It will give you Three ( 3 ) options. The first option is the top rectangle “New Consumers: Browse health & dental Plans”.
Your account creation screen will look like this:
If you have never applied for health coverage through a Marketplace and this is your first time attempting to apply for coverage on any exchange, this where your Georgia Access journey begins. Click on the Browse for health and dental plans button, followed by clicking on the continue button after reviewing the Georgia Access Plan Comparison Tool information, and then the Skip and Sign Up button to create your new individual account on Georgia Access.
- Enter the required information on the next screen to set up your Georgia Access account. NOTE: Be sure that you are entering an email address and Social Security Number that are unique (not associated with another Georgia Access account). You will not be able to set up a Georgia Access account if you enter a previously used email address or Social Security Number.
- Be careful when selecting a security question. NOTE: If you forget your password, you'll need to know the answer to your security question to access your account. If you can't remember the answer, you will have to contact Tech Support to get back into the account.
- After you're done filling out the required information, be sure to agree to the Privacy Policy and click Submit.
- Fill out the required information regarding communication preferences. Be sure to choose whether you'd like to receive information by mail or email, or both.
- If you'd like to receive your 1095-A tax form electronically, check the box and click Continue. If not, just click Continue.
Note: If you had an active application through healthcare.gov, and received a notice from Georgia Access with your unique access code, you should click on the second option "Register with access code" to claim your pre-loaded Georgia Access account.
