- If you have a disability, you have a number of options for health coverage with Georgia Access.
- If you have a disability and currently have Medicaid or Medicare you're considered covered under the health care law and don't need a Georgia Access plan.
However, if you have a disability, don’t qualify for disability benefits and need health coverage, Georgia Access encourages you to create a Georgia Access account on www.GeorgiaAccess.gov and fill out a Georgia Access health coverage enrollment application. This is the best way to find out if you qualify for a private health plan with premium tax credits and other financial assistance based on your income.
Call the Georgia Access Contact Center if you need assistance in creating your Georgia Access account and filling out your enrollment application by calling 1-888-687-1503.
People with disabilities have rights and protections under the health care law, including coverage for pre-existing conditions, no annual or lifetime coverage limits, and free preventive care.
