If you believe your eligibility determination is incorrect, first review the information that you submitted on your application to ensure that it is accurate. To do so, navigate to your member dashboard and click “View Application.” If you notice anything that needs to be updated, click “Edit Application,” make the appropriate changes, and re-submit your application.
If you've confirmed that the information in your application is accurate and you still believe your eligibility results are incorrect, you can submit an appeal. The following types of decisions are generally eligible for appeal through Georgia Access:
- Your eligibility to buy health coverage through Georgia Access
- The Advanced Premium Tax Credits (including the dollar amount of your tax credit) you are eligible to receive
- The Cost Sharing Reductions (including the dollar amount of your Cost Sharing Reductions) you are eligible to receive
- Your ability to enroll in or change plans through Georgia Access outside of an open enrollment period
- Your ability to enroll in coverage through Georgia Access because Georgia Access told you that you failed to submit documents proving you were ineligible for other types of health coverage
- Georgia Access did not provide you with a timely eligibility determination after you applied for insurance coverage.
