Yes! Georgia Access has added a new Qualifying Life Event (QLE) for those who have an annual income equal to or below the 150% Federal Poverty Level (FPL).
If you are a lawfully present immigrant and are not able to enroll through Georgia Medical Assistance (Georgia Medicaid/PeachCare for Kids®) yet, you may qualify to enroll in coverage through Georgia Access and enroll under this qualifying life event. To do so, follow these steps below:
- Go to Georgia Access, click Get Covered, and submit a new Georgia Access application.
- If you qualify, a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) will automatically open!
- Once the SEP opens, you will have 60-days to enroll in a plan through Georgia Access. Once you enroll, coverage will begin the start of the following month.
