Medicaid is a health program that provides health coverage at no-cost to people with disabilities, the elderly, pregnant women, children and families, as well as childless adults, who’s household income is below a certain threshold, and who meet other eligibility requirements. Georgia has increased access to the Medicaid program to also include eligible Georgians ages 19-64 who have a household income up to 100% of the federal poverty level (FPL) with their new program Georgia Pathways to Coverage™.
There is no limited enrollment period for Medicaid and you can apply anytime through the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in person, by mail or online at www.gateway.ga.gov.
